Hello, and welcome to this month’s issue of the TRIO Display Newsletter! A properly-lit store is a store that sells. Too often our design team encounters a retail space that suffers from a severe lack of appropriate and/or creative illumination. As such, we’ve decided to dig into our article archives this time around to bring you a design primer on lighting that has already assisted hundreds of shop owners. Give it a read – you might be surprised how a couple of simple and inexpensive lighting changes can positively affect the mood, flow, and profitability of your store.
We have also added a ton of new products to our online catalog over the last few weeks, so be sure to check our “new products” section for the latest and greatest that TRIO has to offer. As always, we’re giving our newsletter subscribers 10% off their next order – just enter the coupon code at the end of this newsletter into the "Comments" section of your next online order or mention it to one of our customer service representatives if you prefer to place your order over the phone. Until next time, take care and happy retailing!
Best Regards,
Adam Jones – Editor

Enlighten Me: Lighting Your Store
by Eric Fairbanks
Proper lighting sells merchandise more effectively than any other store design element. Without proper lighting your customer will not be drawn to or even see what your store sells. The key is not lots of lights but the effective usage of the correct ones. When lighting is designed into a store for both sales and display not only will your product “pop” but your client will be more comfortable and receptive.

This Month's Featured Project: The Jewelry Box
by Eric Fairbanks
When their lease came up for renewal on their jewelry store, Christine Anzell and Jack Levenson saw an opportunity. The lay-out dated back to the previous tenant, and didn’t account for the unique security and merchandising requirements of selling jewelry. “We also run a watch repair business,” said Christine, “and the repair customers would have to pass behind the jewelry showcases, which wasn’t good for security. There also weren’t any wall cases to display the jewelry, and we wanted to show more lines.” |
